The 28th edition of the ForoAcui, held on 1 and 2 October in O Grove, placed adaptation to climate change amongst its key themes. The presentations addressed the search for new areas for mussel farming, the impact of acidification on the Rías Baixas and the use of data and artificial intelligence to anticipate changes in production conditions.
The forum also recognised several scientific studies on adaptation, including one on the thermal acclimatisation of Saccharina latissima in multitrophic aquaculture, authored by researchers from the IIM-CSIC and the CICA-UDC as part of the CLIRAQUA project.
